Court orders Sistema unit to pay 5 bln rbl to Defense Ministry

MOSCOW, Dec 28 (PRIME) -- The Moscow Arbitration Court has ordered defense and microelectronic solutions company RTI, a unit of multi-industry holding Sistema to redeem about 5 billion rubles to the Defense Ministry, as seen by PRIME on Thursday in the register of arbitration cases.

In its suit, the ministry demanded RTI redeem a penalty under a state contract signed in June 2014.

Previously, a source close to the company told PRIME that the ministry’s claims are connected to disagreements about one contract, but the company and the ministry continue working under other contracts within the state defense order.
